The Manager, Policy and Advocacy supports the External Affairs department’s policy, advocacy and resource mobilization objectives aimed at increasing awareness of TB as a public health problem, and the critical role that new TB vaccines play as part of a comprehensive strategy to control and ultimately eliminate TB.
The Director, Preclinical Development position is responsible for the implementation, coordination and management of a program of preclinical and translational development of vaccines against tuberculosis and managing the platform delivery team. Close integration with the full range of Preclinical Vaccine activities is essential. The post will involve providing expert advisory support to vaccine developers and partners, along with supporting the development of the preclinical vaccine development strategy.
The incumbent will be a member of the platform development team. The platform development team is responsible for research and development of viral vector, protein and genetic vaccines and for the development and evaluation of novel vaccine delivery systems used in animal immune potency studies and clinical trials.
The Director, Clinical Development will serve as a Product Director and clinical development and medical expert. The Director will oversee the design, management, and execution of clinical development plans and the design and implementation of clinical trials intended to evaluate and support licensure of investigational vaccines to prevent tuberculosis (TB).
