We are approximately a 100 person organization, $45 million-a-year not-for-profit biotechnology organization dedicated to a critical global health mission to develop new, effective TB vaccines that are affordable, safe, and accessible to all who need them. We work in partnership with for-profit pharmaceutical companies and biotechs, academic institutions, governments, and other non-profit organizations. The Director of Global Safety is a leadership position responsible for safety evaluation and safety compliance for Aeras clinical trials including timely reporting of the adverse events that meet regulatory requirements for regular and expedited submissions to the applicable Regulatory Agencies. The incumbent is responsible for safety activities for all Aeras-sponsored investigational products, receipt and processing of serious adverse events from clinical trials, analysis of safety data, and the identification and investigation of potential safety signals, and contribution to the development of safety plans.
